What Heirloomie Is

Every family has a story. The trouble is, it's usually scattered — a few photos in a shoebox, names in a notebook, a tree started in one place and documents saved in another, and the stories themselves living only in somebody's memory.

Heirloomie brings all of it under one roof. Build your family tree, keep your documents and photographs with the people they belong to, write the stories down, and honor the ones who came before you — all in one house, organized the way a family actually lives in it: a hearth to come home to, an archive for the records, a kitchen table for talking it over.

It was built by a genealogist with more than thirty years of research behind her, and built to do the work the way it ought to be done: carefully, honestly, and with the evidence kept straight.

Three Roads In

There's no wrong door into Heirloomie. Pick the road that fits where you are — you can wander the whole house from any of them.

Level 1

Teachers, Classroom, Kids & Beginners

New to family history? Start here. Gentle lessons, guided first steps, and a friendly path into your family's story — made for classrooms, young researchers, and anybody who wants to begin without feeling lost.

Level 2

My Family's Story

You're here to build your own family's tree and keep its story. The full house is yours: tree, records, photos, stories, and memorials, arranged step by step so the work stays clear as it grows.

Level 3

Professional

For working genealogists and researchers who serve clients. The same house, with the professional tools on the shelf: client work, clean handovers, and the evidence records serious research demands.

What's Inside

Fourteen rooms, one house. Here's what each one is for.

The Heart of the House

The Hearth

Your home page. Where you land, what's new, and where to pick up where you left off.

Roots & Branches

Your family tree itself: the people, the generations, how they connect.

The Kitchen

Family talk. Conversations, questions, and the stories that come out when people sit down together.

The Work Rooms

The Archives

Your records and documents, kept in order — including Project Folders, where a whole piece of research lives together.

Atlas & Time Loom

The places and the timelines: where your people lived, and when everything happened.

The Tool Shed

The working tools of research, all in one place.

The Potting Shed

Where unproven branches wait, like seedlings, until the evidence is strong enough to plant them in the tree.

The Planner

Your research plans, tasks, and dates, kept where you can see them.

The Making Rooms

Tale Weaver & Heritage Publisher

Turn your research into stories and finished books your family can hold.

Heirloom Studio

Your photographs and keepsakes: photo tools, restoration, and a place for the treasures.

The Grove

Memorials. A quiet place to honor and remember the ones who came before.

Keeping It Yours, Keeping It Growing

Key Ring

Sharing, under your control. You hold the keys: who may look, who may help, and who may take a copy home.

Bloodline

Your DNA story, kept with the rest of your family's record.

The Academy

Learning for every level, with a full User Guide that walks you through the whole house, room by room.

Why It's Different

Hints are not proof

Online trees and suggestions can point the way, but Heirloomie is built on evidence: what a record actually shows, kept separate from what somebody guessed. Unproven branches wait in the Potting Shed until they earn their place in the tree.

Living people are private by default

Your family's living members are protected automatically. What you share, you share on purpose — with the keys in your own hand.

Your data is yours

Your tree, your records, your stories belong to you. Exports and take-home copies are built in, so your work is never locked away from you.

Built by a working genealogist

Heirloomie wasn't designed in a boardroom. It was built by a researcher with 30+ years in the records, who needed these tools herself — and built the house she always wished existed.

On an iPhone or iPad?

You're welcome right now. Heirloomie works on Apple devices today through the web — open it in Safari and add it to your home screen, and it sits there and works like an app. An App Store version will follow after the Google Play launch.

About the Maker

Heirloomie was made by Coni Dubois — a genealogist with more than 30 years of research experience, a descendant of the Barkhamsted Lighthouse Village families, and the author of The True Story of the Barkhamsted Light House Village.

“Heirloomie was built out of love — love for the ones who came before us, and for the ones who will come looking after we're gone. Every family's story deserves to be kept, and kept true. So we built a house with its doors open, where the circle only ever widens.”

Questions Folks Ask

When does Heirloomie launch?

When she's ready — and not a day before. The finishing touches are being proven one at a time right now, and beta testing on Google Play comes first. No date is promised, because a family's story deserves a house that's built right. Join the beta list and you'll hear it from us directly.

What devices does it work on?

Phones, tablets, and computers. Heirloomie is built for the web, so it works in the browser you already have — Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac. Google Play comes first at launch; Apple users are welcome on the web version right away.

Do I need to be a genealogist to use it?

Not at all. The Level 1 road was made for beginners, teachers, classrooms, and kids, and the Academy's User Guide walks you through everything in plain language. If you know your family's names, you know enough to start.

Is my family's information sold or shared?

Never. Your tree, your records, and your stories are yours. Living people are private by default, sharing happens only when you hand somebody a key, and nothing of yours is sold — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.

Can I leave and take my data with me?

Yes. Exports and take-home copies are built into the house. Your family's story was never ours to keep from you — take it home any time.

Who do I talk to if I need help?

The Academy's User Guide answers most how-to questions inside the app, and Ancestria — the guide who lives in the house — can point you to the exact section you need. For everything else, Coni's contact page is linked above.
